T-Mobile for Business’ sponsorship of SailGP New York offered a prime opportunity to showcase the real-time power of 5G. But we needed more than a logo placement—we had to demonstrate how T-Mobile’s technology could elevate both race day operations and fan experiences, and do it all in the fast-moving, high-pressure environment of a live sporting event.
Solution
We designed and executed a high-impact social activation campaign that captured the dynamic role of TFB’s 5G capabilities on race day. We partnered with tech influencer Ronald van Loon and operated as a newsroom-style creative team—capturing dynamic footage, behind-the-scenes moments, and in-the-moment coverage across the event. Each post spotlighted a key tech feature, from real-time data transmission to enhanced race communications—making the connection between T-Mobile’s technology and the event’s high-stakes performance tangible and clear.
The activation was a hit: we generated high engagement across LinkedIn, saw a consistent rise in followers, and strengthened T-Mobile’s position as a 5G innovation leader in high-performance, high-demand environments like SailGP.
